Percival Lowell was a man obsessed with ghosts. His "ghosts" were not the souls of the dead, but phantoms that only he could see. His idea of canals on Mars was but one of those phantoms. . . . His other "ghost" was the so-called Planet X.
This is the second poem in Tim Pratt's new mythological series.
The Worms (as they are affectionately known) have become one of Canada's best known comedy acts, touring the folk circuit throughout North America, and as far away as Australia.
"Some of the priests on the ship, the telepaths mostly, wanted to know the shepherds more. Maybe they thought that the shepherds were closer to God, closer than humans ever could be."
