Kinney’s ultra-far-future flash story, “The Setting of the Sun”, appeared in Compelling Science Fiction issue #8. Kelly Jennings published "The Taste of Grief" in the summer 2017 issue of the Sockdolager. Kate Heartfield’s story “The Wedding of Snow, Earth and Salt” is up in the preview issue of the new Augur Magazine. Steve Case’s story “Deathspeaker” appeared in Beneath Ceaseless Skies, and a short, surrealist piece, “Harvest”, in the summer issue of Bracken Magazine. Gwynne Garfinkle’s story, "Man-Size", was published in the summer 2017 issue of The Sockdolager. Aidan Doyle had a new story appear in PodCastle, "In Spring, the Dawn. In Summer,the Night". Jason Erik Lundberg had “The Stargirl and the Potter” at Daily Science Fiction, and “Occupy: An Exhibition” and “Bodhisattva at the Heat Death of the Universe” at Alluvium: The Journal of Literary Shanghai. Iona Sharma’s story "Eight Cities” appeared in Sunvault: Stories of Solarpunk and Eco-speculation. Bill Kte’pi’s weird surf story "The Last of the Real Good Days" is included in Zombies Need Brains' anthology Submerged. Paul Jessup will have “Music of Ghosts” in the Sept-Oct 2017 of Interzone. Jess Barber’s story, "You and Me and the Deep Dark Sea", appeared in Sunvault: Stories of Solarpunk and Eco-speculation. Marissa Lingen’s story, "Across Pack Ice, a Fire", appeared in Beneath Ceaseless Skies. James Dorr's "In the Octopus's Garden" has been published in Deadman's Tome Campfire Tales, Book 1. Andrew Kozma published "The Librarian" in Escape Pod. E. J. Fischer’s short story, “My Time Among the Bridge Blowers,” was published The New Voices of Fantasy from Tachyon Publications. Mari Ness’ short story, "The Witch in the Tower," appeared in Fireside Fiction. Claire Humphrey’s story “Number One Draft Pick” appears in The Sum of Us, an anthology from Laksa Media. Sarah Pinsker’ novelette, "Wind Will Rove", appears in the September/October issue of Asimov's. José Pablo Iriarte’s story "Duck Duck God" was published by Book Smugglers. Rich Larson’s story "The Old Man" out in the new issue of Analog. A.C. Wise also had a story in Sunvault: Stories of Solarpunk and Eco-speculation. Lawrence Schimel’s translation of Cuban sci-fi author Yoss' "The Fortean Limes" was published in issue 165 of UK's LITRO Magazine. A.T. Greenblatt had a new story up at Flash Fiction Online. Tina Connolly’s story "The Two-Choice Foxtrot of Chapham County" is now out in the Sept/Oct issue of F&SF.

Novels

K. Bird Lincoln's urban fantasy debut, Dream Eater, was published by World Weaver Press. Margaret Killjoy’s novella, The Lamb Will Slaughter the Lion, came out from Tor.com. Daniel Ausema’s next title in my Spire City series comes out tomorrow, a stand-alone novella called The Patterns of Cloth and Dreams. L. S. Johnson’s gothic novella Harkworth Hall came out. William Alexander’s middle grade fantasy novel, A Properly Unhaunted Place, also came out

Poetry

Mary Soon Lee had 119 haiku (or haiku-like entities) printed in the August issue of Science, one for each element of the periodic table. Margaret Wack’s poems "Statue" and "Shapeshifter" were published in Arion. David C. Kopaska-Merkel’s poems, "generation ship" and “untitled lune” appeared in Scifaikuest. Sara Norja’s poem "Sunharvest Triptych" appeared in Sunvault: Stories of Solarpunk and Eco-speculation. Charles Payseur’s poem, "becoming, c.a. 2000," was released in text and audio from Glittership. Jeannine Gailey’s poem, "On Being Told You're Dying, But Not Quite Believing It" was published in the fall 2017 issue of Notre Dame Review

Lisa Bradley’s poem "Strandbeest Dreams," co-written with her husband, José M. Jimenez appeared in Sunvault: Stories of Solarpunk and Eco-speculation. Bogi Takács’ poem "Synthesis: This Shining Confluence" appeared in Sunvault: Stories of Solarpunk and Eco-speculation. Jenny Blackford had separate poems published in each of Blast Off, Orbit and Touchdown. Jessy Randall had three diagram poems in Mama Liberada. Deborah Kolodji had a haiku translated into Chinese by Chen-ou Liu.

Non-fiction

Christina Scholz published an article in Textual Practice, entitled "Quantum Fiction! – M. John Harrison’s Empty Space Trilogy and Weird Theory". Su-Yee Lin had a short nonfiction/visual art collaboration called "Boundary/Waters" up at Alastria Press Digital Projects. Marie Brennan released a non-fiction ebook, DICE TALES: ESSAYS ON ROLEPLAYING GAMES AND STORYTELLING. Tom Speelman wrote about Death Note, Disney Duck comics and X-Men for Comic Book Resources. Ada Hoffman’s essay "Everything Is True: A Non-Neurotypical Experience With Fiction" went up as part of the Disabled People Destroy Science Fiction Kickstarter, as did Bogi Takács’ essay "Instant Demotion in Respectability". Erin Horáková wrote a review of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies for Nerdsfeather.

Misc

Liz Argall launched a Patreon.Rachel Kahn wrote a weird tabletop RPG dungeon, for sale here. And Karen Bovenmyer is co-editing Pseudopod Horror Podcast’s Artemis Rising March ’18 issue.
