Welcome to the 2010 fund drive!

This September marks not only the beginning of our annual fund drive, but the tenth anniversary of Strange Horizons. This month, we celebrate ten years of publishing stories written by authors both new and acclaimed. Ten years of publishing stories told from a range of perspectives and in a myriad of voices. Ten years of providing readers with exciting new content free of charge. Ten years of paying contributors professional rates.

Ten years of being staffed by volunteers, who do it because they love it-- they love the stories, and what they represent: a vibrant new generation of science fiction and fantasy authors.

Ten years, and we've done it all without being dependent on advertising or corporate interests.

Ten years, and we've done it with your help.

Strange Horizons relies on donations from readers to stay in business. This month, we're trying to raise $7000 and we're hoping that you, Dear Reader, will help us to reach that goal.

Donating is easy! You can find payment options on the main fund drive page.

Everyone who donates to Strange Horizons during the month of September will be entered in a draw to win one of our fantastic fund drive prizes. We have signed books (and book sets!) from many of our talented authors, free membership to an online writing workshop, a personalized Tarot reading, and more. Be sure to check out the prize page.
