My congratulations on an excellent piece regarding the ups and downs of the series. The turn to more hardcore SF was a key point, one that I discussed at some length (especially as it may have impacted the show's ratings) in June's edition of the Internet Review of Science Fiction

Shameful plug. What's your point?
I'm left wondering if Lost or "hard-core" SF has one.
I doubt it. It's like watching goldfish trying to put their backs into it and not trying very hard.
