How could The Flying Woman have sex if she was paralyzed. I mean I understand with the guy she probably just allowed penetration, but how would she moan at the narrator's touch if she couldn't feel anything below her waist? Is she paralyzed or not?

Paraplegics can have pleasurable sex. I suggest you watch the excellent documentary called Murderball. They go into the subject with some detail.
