Jenna Hanchey (@jennahanchey) is a BSFA award-shortlisted speculative fiction writer, Ignyte and British Fantasy award-shortlisted narrator, and Assistant Professor of Rhetoric & Critical/Cultural Studies at Arizona State University. She also cohosts the podcast Griots & Galaxies on African SFF. Her research looks at how speculative fiction can imagine decolonization and bring it into being, while her own writing tries to support this project of creating better futures for us all. Having once been called a "badass fairy," she attempts to live up to the title.
