Izzy Toy Rettke is a cilantro-averse butch from Chicago who writes about queerness, community, and Great White sharks. They are a two-time recipient of the Nevin Prize, and their senior thesis, “The Dive Tenders,” received the Charlotte Paul Reese Memorial Prize for Creativity in Poetry. Their writing has been published by The Academy of American Poets, The Wellesley Review, Generasians, and Sunbow Press.
