We are very happy to welcome Aigner Loren Wilson, Hebe Stanton, Kat Weaver, and Vanessa Aguirre as fiction editors! All four of them have already been doing stellar work in the fiction department for a long time as first readers, picking many of the stories Strange Horizons has published in recent years, and we look forward to them continuing to be be awesome as editors. Here's a little bit more about each of them:

Aigner Loren Wilson (she/her) is a SFWA, HWA, and Codex writer who writes poetry, nonfiction, games, and teaches writers how to understand the craft. Along with her work with Strange Horizons, she's an associate editor for the horror podcast NIGHTLIGHT. Aigner writes for Tor Nightfire, Discover Pods, and other publications. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Lightspeed Magazine, WIRED, FIYAH, The Writer, and many more. Her work has been called evocative, noteworthy, and imaginative and has earned her an honorable mention for the 2019 Otherwise Fellowship Award. Currently, her queer dark SciFi near-future thriller is doing the query rounds in search of an agent. She has also served as guest editor for Apparition Literary's Contamination issue and Fireside Magazine's 2022 winter issues. Hebe Stanton is a professional copywriter and longtime SFF fan. Based in Oxford, UK, where she lives with her partner and a very demanding cat, she writes about science fiction and other genres at englishstudens.com.

Kat Weaver is an illustrator and writer who lives in St. Paul, Minnesota with her wife and two birds. Her work has been published in Apex Magazine, Lackington's, Neon Hemlock press, and elsewhere. Her portfolio can be found at kathrynmweaver.com.

Vanessa Aguirre's heart alternates between Texas, New York, Mexico, and Colombia. She works in book publishing and firmly believes joy is a form of resistance. Because she clearly doesn't read enough, she's always looking for story recommendations @vnssaguirre.
