Liza Wemakor writes speculative romance. Her work has been published in Rabid Oak Journal, Burning House Press, the Shenandoah Film Collaborative blog, and elsewhere. Her flash fiction has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and the Best Small Fictions anthology. As of Fall 2021, she is a first-year English Ph.D. student, studying Black feminist fictions with an emphasis on speculative fiction.
