On the morning after,
you look twice as hung over
as anyone else.

Others seem to
instinctively shun you.

You cannot remember
having a childhood.

Someone keeps painting
"CLONE GO AWAY!"
on the front door
of your house.

You have a recurring
nightmare about being
trapped in a Mason jar.

They turn you down
for "unspecified reasons"
when you try to
get yourself cloned.

The PIN tattooed
on the inside
of your left forearm
ends in Q, B, or 87.

Despite the two hundred and fifty-two million years that separate us, I feel close to you tonight, dear trilobites.
Queer how the sea makes no bed to set a clock by
We did not call it resurrection. We are not careless with words.
