Joy Sanchez-Taylor is a professor at LaGuardia Community College (CUNY). Her first book is titled Diverse Futures: Science Fiction and Authors of Color (2021). She has a book forthcoming from Ohio State University Press in July 2025 titled Dispelling Fantasies: Authors of Color Reimagine a Genre.
