Ricard Ruiz Garzón (Barcelona, 1973) spent over two decades as a journalist for periodicals and radio programs, including El País-Babelia, El País-Quadern, El Periódico-Libros, Qué Leer, Time Out, BTV, RNE, Catalunya Ràdio, RAC-1, COM Ràdio, la Xarxa, and la Cadena SER. He was an advisor to Penguin Random House's genre imprint, Fantascy, as well as of the publishers Rata y Catedral, and is also the vice president of the Association of Cultural Journalists of Catalunya. He has published many books including the children's picture books El mejor regalo del mundo (Pirueta, 2010) and ¡Menuda cabeza! / Quin cap! (Nandibú, 2016); the YA novels El Libro de Morfeo and El baile del sonámbulo (which are the first 2 volumes of the Guardianes de Sueño series); and the anthology of dystopian stories Mañana Todavía (Fantascy, 2014), among others.
