Abdulla is a Palestinian writer, educator, researcher, and translator. He was once named the world’s foremost scholar of chai karak by a prestigious research centre's Twitter account, and he maintains a keen interest in modern Arabic and Urdu poetry. For a decade during his childhood, he went to school next door to the famous Sharjah Cricket Stadium and he remains—among a small group of people who do not know one another—deeply committed to the revival of Palestinian cricket. You can find him on Twitter as @KarakMufti.
