Sasha LaPointe is a Coast Salish author from the Nooksack and Upper Skagit Indian tribes. Her memoir Red Paint is forthcoming from Counterpoint Press and her collection of poems, Rose Quartz, will be published by Milkweed. Sasha’s writing explores her Coast Salish identity as well as her experiences in the underground punk scene in Seattle and what it means to grow up mixed heritage. Sasha lives in Tacoma, Washington.
