Rivqa Rafael writes speculative fiction about queer women, Jewish women, cyborg futures, hope in dystopias, and any combination of these. Her short fiction has appeared in Ecopunk and Defying Doomsday. In 2016, she won the Ditmar Award for Best New Talent, and “Trivalent” is shortlisted for a Norma K. Hemming Award. She is co-editing Mother of Invention with Tansy Rayner Roberts (August 2018).
